Check-in: When you arrive at our center we ask that you check-in at the registration desk to verify personal, escort and insurance information.
Following Admission: After checking in at our center, you will be brought to the pre-op area where the nurse will do a health interview and prepare you for surgery. You and your family or escort will stay in the room until it is time for your surgery. An anesthesiologist will discuss your anesthesia with you and answer any questions. At the appropriate time you will be escorted to the operating room. During surgery your escort will stay in a waiting area and will rejoin you in the recovery area after your surgery.
*Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we will be allowing only the adult patient (no family member) and a pediatric (minor) patient plus 1 parent, inside our facility and to wait in our lobby until the patient is called back to the preoperative area. The pediatric parent will be allowed to go into the preoperative area to sign consent and wait with their minor until the minor goes to the operating room. We will then ask the parent to wait in the waiting area and not leave that area until the minor is finished with surgery. Only pediatric patient family members will be allowed to wait in our surgery lobby throughout their stay, due to having minor children. No adult family members will be allowed to wait in the lobby. For adult patient family members, we will ask that you wait in your car throughout your loved ones surgery and not to leave the premises. We have implemented these guidelines to adhere to the CDC social distancing requirement. All family members will be provided with a facility phone number during your preadmission call and at registration to check on your loved one. You will receive discharge instructions over the phone for adult family members and in recovery for a pediatric patient. A paper copy will also be provided when your loved one is discharged to your car. Our reception team will monitor the waiting area to ensure we are adhering to social distancing requirements
